
Tom Corradino
DIRECTOR of PERFORMANCE
Tom has always had a passion for competing and coaching in Athletic Performance. After graduating from the University at Buffalo with a degree in Human Performance and Sport/Exercise Psychology he has spent much of his time training in Powerlifting and more recently CrossFit.
Tom has been fortunate to complete internships with several of the industries top coaches and programs including Velocity Sports Performance and it’s creator Lawrence Seagrave, and Westside Barbell and it’s creator Louie Simmons. In addition he has attended seminars and spent time under coaches such as Buddy Morris (NFL S&C Coach), Mike Robertson & Bill Hartman of IFAST, Paul Childress (former S&C Coach of UB), Nate Harvey (of EliteFTS), Terry Rose (owner of Rose Physical Therapy) and continues to spend time learning and from many of these coaches and others.
Tom has worked with a large amount of athletes, lifters, and CrossFitters including professional athletes in many sports including the NFL, CFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL.

Frank Berrafato
OWNER / PERFORMANCE COACH
Frank is most likely the most experienced coach on our staff. Having played football at the University at Buffalo and continued his passion for training with the University over the past 20 years working and training under a variety of strength and conditioning coaches. In addition Frank has experience coaching many sports at all differing age levels focusing on soccer, football, and wrestling mainly. In addition to coaching a variety of different athletes Frank has also worked with professional athletes in the NFL and CFL. In addition to coaching Frank also has a passion for helping others chase their dreams both as a coach inside the gym and a partner in 4 very successful businesses including Whole Fit Foods a buffalo based company who’s main focus is providing healthy nutritional meals for athletes of all ages and goals.

Kyle Johnson
HEAD CROSSFIT COACH / PERFORMANCE COACH
After interning at Absolute Performance during his final semester as an undergraduate at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Kyle joined our team as a personal trainer and assisted with athletic groups and CrossFit classes. After obtaining his CrossFit Level-1in October 2014, he began instructing his own CrossFit classes out of AP. Some of his favorite hobbies include singing loudly to himself while alone in his car and occasionally binge watching Netflix.

Hannah Zimmerman
PERFORMANCE COACH
Hannah Zimmermann is a 25yr old graduate from the University At Buffalo and Genesee Community College with degrees in Exercise Science and Fitness and Recreation Management respectively. While having several years of studying in Nutrition Sciences she also has experiences in Metabolic training, HIIT, Group training and more. As a recent accomplishment of completing the internship here at Absolute Performance, she has also participated in multiple seminars spanning all across the fitness and health spectrum. A fun fact about her is that she can’t go a whole day without dancing and has an obsession with pit-bull puppies! Overall though the best part about coaching for Hannah is being able to pair fun and confidence into training for athletes.

Andrew Schaefer
PERFORMANCE COACH
Andrew Schaefer is a 20 year old coach pursuing his associates and bachelors degree in exercise science as well as earning certifications in athletic performance, nutrition, and crossfit. Andrew has completed internships including the Absolute Performance Internship in the summer of 2016 and has also attended many seminars where he has gained excellent training experience from some of the best sports performance coaches in the industry. He has been training with Absolute Performance's head coach Tom Corradino since he was 11 years old where he worked on developing athletic skills for both baseball and football and eventually earned an opportunity to continue his baseball career in college. Andrew’s has two all-time favorite movie series which are Jurassic Park and Harry Potter. He also enjoys traveling and would eventually love to go to Bora Bora and New Zealand. The greatest part of being a trainer, for Andrew, is being able to help determined athletes reach their performance goals and seeing them gain confidence not only in the weight room but also on the playing field.

Mark Rosen
PERFORMANCE COACH
Mark Rosen is a 22 year old UB Graduate with a degree in Health & Human Services, as well as Nutrition. Mark has undergone many internships, including one with Absolute Performance Training under strength coach Tom Corradino. He has also interned with Orlin & Cohen, a top Occupational Therapy center in Long Island, where he learned interventions and exercises for people with pain and injury.Mark's passion for training started in his early high school days playing Football, Wrestling, and Lacrosse. When he entered college, Mark missed the feeling of competition, so he found the sport of Powerlifting. Mark is currently a competitive Powerlifter and has gained tremendous knowledge of the Westside and Conjugate methods from his internship at AP. Mark also has experience with CrossFit and is interested in pursuing his L1 Certification.Equal to his love for training is his love for food. Mark has successfully eaten 6 bowls of never-ending-pasta at Olive Garden and can casually eat an entire pepperoni pizza well within an episode of Friends. Mark's passion for training and coaching stems from his love for helping people create confidence, while having fun in the gym!

Karen Eisenberger
PERFORMANCE COACH
Karen Eisenberger is a 21 year old undergraduate student at UB. She is currently studying Exercise Science and plans to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Daemen College in the fall of 2020. Karen competed in volleyball, rifle and lacrosse for Clarence High School. She also trained as a High School athlete here at Absolute Performance and competed in travel volleyball for Niagara Frontier Volleyball. Her long past in sports, as well as the knowledge gained while interning at AP, have helped her gain excellent coaching experience. Karen is not only interested in Sports Performance, but also is planning to complete her CrossFit Level 1 Certification. A few of Karen’s favorite things include The Office and 150 wall balls. Alex Tuskes
PERFORMANCE COACH
Alex is a 21 year old undergrad student at UB. Alex played soccer for many years through the Amherst Soccer organization. He also played football and lacrosse at Williamsville South High School. Alex has been a member of the AP family since 2013, and joined the coaching staff in 2016. With a passion for fitness, he enjoys seeing clients improve their overall health and reach their personal goals. He enjoys long car rides while listening to his favorite Nickelback CD's, and is looking forward to seeing you in the gym.

Paul Childress
POWERLIFTING COACH/OWNER
Paul has been involved as a major part of the fitness industry and field of strength and conditioning for the better part of 25 years. Prior to joining AP Childress served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University at Buffalo’s Division 1 athletic programs. Paul graduated from Buffalo State College with both a bachelors and master’s degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition. As an athlete Paul was a 3 time All-American at Buffalo State in football. After graduating Paul was drafted by the Pittsburg Pirates organization but turned down the opportunity to further pursue a career in football. As a competitive powerlifter Paul holds world records in the Squat as well as Elite and pro totals at both the 308lb weight class and SHW. In 2004 at the GNC show of Strength Paul became the first person to squat over 1100lbs in the 308lb weight class. Paul continues to compete today. Paul continues to work with a variety of athletes including over 28 in professional sports. Paul specializes in athletic performance, strength training, nutrition, and conditioning for athletes of all ages and skill levels.
